Vitamin B5 and Acne

Intro:
Before we begin, I would like to say I have extensive experience with this method of acne removal. I spent many months personally testing this method of acne removal so you can say I am an unofficial expert.

How It Works:
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) has been shown to decrease pore size, decrease production of sebum oil, and speed up healing times. Basically what this means is..Vitamin B5 will help shrink your pores which may make it more difficult for dirt and other materials to enter the pore and cause acne. Additionally, Vitamin B5 has been shown to decrease Sebum oil which is produced by the skin; This may decrease the amount of acne caused by the over production of oil which becomes trapped under the skin. Finally, Vitamin B5 has been shown to speed up the healing process which means existing acne may heal quicker.

How To Take:
If you search the internet, you will see many articles advising that 5-10g should be taken orally everyday. From my experience I feel this number is way too huge. If you can imagine, the common Vitamin B5 pill is 500mg which means you would need to ingest 10-20 pills a day! Personally, I attempted this amount however the difficulty of keeping up with ingestion patterns and drinking enough water to flush my system became too time-consuming. Rather than ingestion the pill, I began to break the capsules and apply the B5 powder directly to my skin. This is where I saw the most improvement..however I must mention that I did continue to ingest the pills however I lowered the dose to only 500mg a day. It should be noted that these are my results and they should not be taken as a guarantee.

My Opinion:
After testing this method for many months I did see improvement in my skin. I began to notice dry and clear skin with very minimal acne which was a relief to me. In the end however, results may vary and other may see more or less improvement then me.
